Comic-Con 2011 was a lot of fun! It was a fun to dress up as Superboy with our Classic Biker Leather Jacket style C100. Here is a picture of me waiting in line to see Gullermo Del Toro & Jon Favreau on Hall H.

F.Y.I. that jacket I had on also is the theme jacket for Ghost Rider and Indiana Jones Jr on the new Movie.

Leather Alterations & Repairs, Nobody Does Them Like Us…

Hello again!

Many people often ask these 2 questions: “Do you Repair Leather Jackets?” And “Do You Make Alterations on Leather Jackets?”

Well, the answer is “YES” we do; we have been doing leather alterations and repairs on new leather jackets and old leather jackets for over 30 years now. Though our experts are not limitless in their expertise, there are very few tasks that are not to our reach of our alteration experts.

We are able to make all kinds of alterations on leather apparel such as, shortening sleeves on jackets, hemming leather pants, slimming down jackets, and more.We can also do a number of repairs on old and new jackets such as repairing tears on stitching, replace torn panels, replace inside liners, replace collars with fur or plain, patching tears, replacing torn panels (if we can match the leather for your item), replace zippers, replace snaps, re-dye jackets (in black or brown) and much, much more…

Now, for those of you that are shipping your items in, make sure you call us first to get us an idea of what it is you need and if its to the reach of our alteration experts; it would hurt for all you walk-ins to call ahead and save a little gas money if you are able to come to the store in person.

Since we are open to the public we can do some on the fly quick alterations and repairs, such as hemming pants or chaps, install or replace snaps, small tasks that sometimes if our team is not incredibly busy with orders we are able to have ready while you wait.

One of the most popular walk-in small jobs is sewing patches on the jackets or vests; since San Diego is an area where many biker clubs hang around, pass through or call home. We are proud to say we have sewn patches in the store for, if not all of them, most of the Biker Clubs in the USA, and maybe a couple of international ones.

Probably the hardest task we have ever come across, according to our experts is the full body racing leather motorcycle suits… Those are hard to work on and, incredibly unmanageable on our machines, sometimes requiring 2 people to aid in the work of simple stitch work for these amazingly heavy suits, making that the reason that not only are they the hardest items to work on, but the most expensive.

So if you have a jacket you inherited from Dad or Grandpa, and it’s a little too big, or if you have and old jacket you no longer use, because it’s torn or unstitched, DON’T GET RID OF IT! Send it to us and FIX IT! Keep all the memories and stories that come along with that leather jacket.

We are blogging the web to infrom you about the specials & sales and to get this information out there for those of you that don't know we are here and have been here for 35 years and going.

A little about San Diego Leather and its history.

We are a leather jacket store primarily, however, we do have other leather apparel. We sell leather motorcycle jackets for all kinds of riding or anyone that like the motorcyle leather type of apparel, we have all types of leather fashion jackets such as leather blazers for formal occations or as corporate wear in a company, leather waist jackets for casual wear, leather stadium jackets that can be used for all kinds of special moments or simply to us for work at the office.

The ladies department is a wide department of variety, from leather chaps to leather motorcycle boots. Ladies have a wide selection of leather goods to choose from like a leather vest for ridding, a leather biker jacket to protect you when on your bike, a leather short zipper jacket for going to that special event or a leather trench coat for the winter, how about a leather belted jacket for those chilli nights.

San Diego Leather was founded officially in 1974 by the Estolano family, so this is a family owned and managed business. The store has been moving around San Diego for all those years; the first store opened in Chula Vista, in Bay Boulevard as the San Diego Leather Jacket Factory the official name back then.

The Store had many of the family members working for the comapny at one point, through out the years most of them moved on to other paths, however, family still remains and works in San Diego Leather and it keeps its traditions and reputation accordding to the family values it was founded on and it will keep them indefinitely.

In 2003 we moved to our new location in National City to make San Diego Leather a better store for you to visit and so leather shoppers like you have a wonderful shopping experience.

Some, things changed, like we now how a bigger store for you to shop on and the name chnged a

little for corporate reasons to San Diego Leather Inc.

The store is still the best leather apparel store in the County, nobody can beat our prices and

nobody does alterations and repairs on you leather items like we do; nobody makes and customizes leather jacket like we do, nobody offers what we do like fast walk-in on the fly alterations or sewing emblems on you jackets while you wait and hundreds of accessories for all kinds of leather apparel users.
